| Why is Aikido of San Antonio non profit? Aikido of San Antonio is a non profit educational organization under the IRS code 501(c)3 meaning donations can be tax deductible. Our core values:
Aikido of San Antonio is a non profit organization because our values lead us to a business model where we concentrate more on the quality of the service provided instead of trying to maximize profits which often leads to a reduction in quality or altering the content of the product offered. In addition, while the organization must run as a business, we reject the concept that the student is paying for "services" rendered. Instead, the member provides something of value (money) in exchange for something of intangible value: instruction in Aikido, a potentially life-changing activity. This philosophy leads us to the non-profit business model. |
