Description of usage |
Who benefits? | Status |
| General operations fund | Monies given to this fund are used to help pay for advertising, office equipment, insurance costs, etc. In addition, any surplus funds are used for any other funding needs. | The entire dojo and all of its members current and future benefit. | |
| Building fund | This is the most important funding destination. AOSA is currently looking to establish a permanent location owned by the non-profit organization. | The entire dojo benefits. Moreover, having our own space allows us to focus the standard incoming dues towards creating and improving new programs. | |
| Scholarship fund | This money is used to help students go to different seminars or pay for tests. In addition, this money can be used to offset costs associated with below-normal dues payments. | Members of the dojo who have lost their job, have low income or have financial hardship. | |
| Blackbelt fund | The headquarters dojo in Japan charges a certain amount of money to obtain the certification for dan rank. These are administrative fees but can be quite expensive. AOSA believes that students should not have to pay large amounts of money to receive their certifications. This fund aims at helping students pay for their blackbelt certification fees. | All students who are testing for 1st degree blackbelt or higher. In special circumstances it can be used to pay for administrative costs for kyu testing. | |
